PROJECT “RISE’’: UPLIFTING THE EDUCATIONAL QUALITY OF OUR INDIGENOUS COMMUNITY
PROJECT “RISE” is one of the many promising innovations under the PROJECT L.E.E.A.N.N Innovation Showdown. Project RISE, or Redefining Instruction and Strategic E-nnovation, is designed to address the need for greater learner involvement. The project is a culturally relevant science innovation for our IP learners that offers excellent activities, improves scientific literacy and understanding, provides a secure and effective learning environment, and teaches core science concepts.
Currently, the innovators of Camiros National High School are in Phase II of PROJECT L.E.E.A.N.N, which focuses on turning these proposed ideas into tangible reality. Initially, the new normal way of learning has been disadvantageous for our IP community. Through this innovation, our indigenous learners are given the opportunity to learn in this modular set-up. A platform was provided for them to access education and be involved in academic activities, enhancing their understanding and knowledge while preserving their cultural values amid the constraints of the pandemic. Its successful implementation is a step closer towards its core goal of improving our Indigenous learners’ scientific skills and boosting their ability to think critically from their direct experiences with culturally responsive learning. A continuing strive for educational excellence in Anilao assures no learner is left behind.
We really commend the efforts and initiatives of the innovators and educators of Camiros National High School and the unending support of our municipal officials and stakeholders that made this innovation a huge success. This is a proof that when it comes to providing excellent education, no task is too daunting for Anilao educators and innovators as everyone works together for the greater good of all Anilaonon learners.
